Tuesday 28th April – Neil Ashdown
If you’ve got burning questions about technical standards, certification, or the intricacies of timber fire doors, Neil is your man. Having joined the timber and joinery sector at just 16, Neil’s career has spanned every rung of the ladder – from timber yard operative and fire door fabricator, right through to managing director of a Certifire joinery company and manager of the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS). There’s very little Neil doesn’t know about timber fire doors, and he’s always happy to share his expertise.

Wednesday 29th April – Robin Harrison
Robin is our training manager and resident quality management and fire door testing expert. With a formidable background in Quality Control and QA, Robin is one of the most experienced professionals you’ll ever meet when it comes to manufacturing quality and testing. His insights are in constant demand from fire door manufacturers, installers, and maintainers alike – and the glowing feedback from our training clients speaks volumes about his knowledge and approachable manner.

Thursday 30th April – Chris Doran
A true timber and joinery man through and through, Chris has spent a lifetime in the industry – owning and managing timber merchant businesses, running joinery production, and installing countless fire doors along the way. Today, Chris takes most of our face-to-face training, and is widely respected for his diligence when inspecting fire doors and his talent for teaching installers, maintainers, and inspectors.
