Our Story

Our founder, Neil Ashdown, started working in the timber industry in 1979, where he quickly progressed to management level. After several years as a fire door supplier and member of the BWF-Certifire scheme, he started his own business, specialising in fire door compliance. He also managed the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) between 2012 and 2016. He is widely considered as a leading authority on fire doors and fire door safety.
Fire Doors Complete started in 2009, with the mission to improve fire door safety across the UK. We provide property owners and businesses with training, inspections, surveys and consultancy on how to properly identify, specify, install, inspect and maintain fire doors.
We never charge for unnecessary services. Our priority is that your building and its occupants are safe, and that your fire doors meet UK regulatory standards. Without appropriate fire doors, you could face a significant fine from the authorities.

Just a note, as you know, I have studied a LOT but I have to say, I`m about halfway through the video presentation and for all the study I`ve done, this is by far THE BEST training I have encountered 😊 Kudos to you, I don't know how long it took you to compile this course but WOW 😯 I`ll study, re-study then re-study again then read the book and keep taking the test, if anybody wants/needs training I`ll definitely be sending them your way, wish I purchased your course first, (although then I wouldn't know how good your one is 😆) thanks so much.

Just a big thank you following the recent FDC FD Inspectors Course. It was a really worthwhile couple of days where I learnt a lot and developed through practice and professional discussion. The input was well thought out and offered a real move forward after the other courses on fire doors I've undertaken. Thanks for the time taken, really worthwhile.
