Our founder, Neil Ashdown, started working in the timber industry in 1979, where he quickly progressed to management level. After several years as a fire door supplier and member of the BWF-Certifire scheme, he started his own business, specialising in fire door compliance. He also managed the Fire Door Inspection Scheme (FDIS) between 2012 and 2016. He is widely considered as a leading authority on fire doors and fire door safety.

Just a note, as you know, I have studied a LOT but I have to say, I`m about halfway through the video presentation and for all the study I`ve done, this is by far THE BEST training I have encountered 😊 Kudos to you, I don't know how long it took you to compile this course but WOW 😯 I`ll study, re-study then re-study again then read the book and keep taking the test, if anybody wants/needs training I`ll definitely be sending them your way, wish I purchased your course first, (although then I wouldn't know how good your one is 😆) thanks so much.

Thanks very much, it's been a pleasure dealing with you. I would also like to say that I thought that Robin was a superb tutor, very engaging and extremely knowledgeable about this industry and made the course very enjoyable. Martin

I would like to thank Neil for the training that he has provided to our Company. His knowledge, experience and expertise on fire doors is exceptional. All who took part thoroughly enjoyed the training and now feel more confident in the maintenance and installation of fire doors and take the knowledge gained into their daily duties.
It has been a pleasure learning about Fire Doors and all the information and self tests that were given with the course was spot on and easy to use.
Just a big thank you following the recent FDC FD Inspectors Course. It was a really worthwhile couple of days where I learnt a lot and developed through practice and professional discussion. The input was well thought out and offered a real move forward after the other courses on fire doors I've undertaken. Thanks for the time taken, really worthwhile.
Trust Fire Safety Manager
Thank you. I am new to the world of fire doors and it has been a good learning process for me, so thankyou for your patience with my various questions. I’m sure that now I have a better understanding of how this all works, I’ll be much better equipped to know what I’m looking at and how to proceed post-inspection with any future reports we get you to do.
